Distillers nose is an intimate spirit appreciation event, in a light hearted and enjoyable environment with an experienced qualified distiller.
Distillers nose is born out of a professional passion, bordering on obsession, I have long had with the alcoholic drinks industry. My main hope for distillers nose is that I can come along to your event, explain some of the processes that go into the making of your favourite drinks and for you to learn to regard what you drink in a different way.
A little bit about me
This obsession led me to study at the International Centre for Brewing Distilling and Malting at Heriot Watt University. I worked the summer holidays at the Glenfiddich distillery as a tour guide, which taught me how to explain the processes to people of many different backgrounds in addition to this I also worked for the Single Malt Whisky Society.
Having graduated with honours I started with Thames Distillers a small independent gin distillery which specialises in small scale and niche products. Here I work with a novel distillation system,which I work with and continue to enjoy to this day.
